Impact
Our impact is rooted in service and driven by community. Through scholarships, outreach programs, and hands-on volunteer efforts, the Service League of Baytown is dedicated to supporting local families, students, and seniors. Every initiative we take on is designed to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
Investing in the future of our community is at the heart of what we do. Each year, the Service League of Baytown awards college scholarships to one graduating senior from each Goose Creek CISD high school and Barbers Hill ISD high school, helping them take the next step toward their goals and dreams.
Through the generosity of our donors and the success of our annual Charity Ball, we are proud to support students who demonstrate dedication, leadership, and a commitment to their education. These scholarships are more than financial support—they are an investment in the future of our community.

Early detection can make all the difference in a child’s ability to learn and thrive. Each year, the Service League of Baytown provides vision and hearing screenings for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade across Goose Creek CISD, Barbers Hill ISD, Chinquapin Preparatory School, Baytown Christian Academy, and St. Joseph’s Catholic School.
More than 20,000 students in over 30 schools are screened annually by our Texas-certified members, contributing over 1,000 volunteer hours each year. This program not only supports student success but also provides a significant financial savings to local school districts—allowing resources to be directed where they are needed most.
Vision & Hearing
Bringing history to life for the next generation is an important part of preserving our community’s story. Twice each month, members of the Service League of Baytown serve as docents at the Baytown Historical Museum, guiding local third-grade students through engaging, hands-on experiences that make learning both meaningful and memorable.
Through these visits, students gain a deeper understanding of our area’s rich history while developing a connection to the community they call home.

Supporting and celebrating our senior community is an important part of our mission. Through our Golden Age program, the Service League of Baytown hosts monthly bingo gatherings for fixed-income senior citizens, providing helpful household items while creating a space for connection and joy.
These gatherings offer more than just games—they bring friendship, laughter, and a sense of community to those we serve, reminding our seniors that they are valued, remembered, and never alone.

Collaboration is key to creating lasting impact in our schools and community. Through the Partners in Education program, the Service League of Baytown proudly supports the Health Services Department of Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to the health, well-being, and success of students across the district, allowing us to work alongside educators and staff to better serve the needs of our community.

During the holiday season, we are honored to bring joy and relief to families in our community who need it most. Through our Christmas Families project, the Service League of Baytown provides gifts, essential items, and support to local families, ensuring they are able to experience the magic and comfort of the season.
Because of the generosity of our donors and volunteers, we are able to create moments of joy, ease financial burdens, and remind families that they are seen, supported, and cared for.

Celebrating milestones is a meaningful way to encourage and uplift the next generation. Through our partnership with Chinquapin Preparatory Academy, a college-preparatory school serving students from under-resourced communities, the Service League of Baytown recognizes students with birthday and graduation gifts throughout the year.
These moments of celebration bring joy, encouragement, and a sense of belonging—reminding students that their achievements matter and that they are supported every step of the way.
